Getting started
Import a pattern from Files, choose pattern photos or scan paper pages. Create a project linked to it, then open the project from Ongoing. Add yarn and needle details and keep your progress in that project.

Writing on your pattern
Open an ongoing project with a PDF attached. On iPad, choose Write or Highlight, then use Ink options for stroke colour and size. Apple Pencil writes while fingers navigate; enable finger drawing if you want to draw by touch. The current iPhone version displays saved annotations but does not create freehand markup.
Rows, repeats and guide size
Rows and repeats are independent. Use each control’s plus or minus button, change the repeat total as needed, or reset rows to zero. Move the row guide with its movement handle and use its Size control to adjust the area it marks.
Change the app language
In Settings → Language, choose System default, English or 简体中文. This changes interface labels, not imported patterns or your own notes.
Back up or transfer your library
In Settings, choose Export backup and save the .knitarchive file somewhere safe. Import that archive on another device to transfer saved records. Keep a backup of any existing library before importing. Version 1.0 does not provide automatic iCloud sync.
A library archive retains editable saved records and original patterns, with flattened annotated PDF copies where rendering succeeds. The workspace’s annotated-PDF export creates a standalone readable copy of the marked pages. These exports serve different purposes.
Archives are not encrypted or password-protected by the app. Store them securely. Saving one to iCloud Drive does not enable live project sync.
If something is not working
For import problems, check that the file opens in Files and that you have a valid, readable PDF or supported image. Use an unlocked copy of a protected PDF only when you are entitled to do so. If scanning is unavailable, check camera permission in device Settings or use file import.
If the library cannot open, use the offered retry action. Avoid deleting the app when it holds your only copy of a project. Export a backup before reinstalling or replacing a device.
Send a useful report
Email goldidu1027@gmail.com with your device model, operating system, app version and the steps that led to the problem. Include screenshots or example files only when you are comfortable sharing them and have permission to do so. Never send passwords.
The developer cannot remotely recover a lost local library. Read the privacy policy for storage and deletion details.
